Pisgah took the drama out of the Class 3A Area 15 Tournament championship game early.

The top-seeded and No. 1-ranked Eagles opened up quick double-digit lead and enjoyed a 32-point lead at halftime en route to a 77-47 victory over second-seeded Sylvania in the area finals Wednesday night at Pisgah High School.

Pisgah (29-1) advance to the Class 3A Northeast Sub-regional round and will host the Area 11 runner-up Monday night at 7 p.m. Sylvania (15-11) will travel to play the Area 11 runner-up.

The Eagles opened up a 24-9 lead after one quarter before leading 51-19 at halftime and 75-27 after three quarters.

Auburn signee Annie Hughes led Pisgah with 24 points, three assists and three steals while Chloe Womack totaled 13 points, four assists, four rebounds and three steals. Madison Myers added 11 points and two assists and Vaught had nine points, five rebounds and five blocks. Bailey Law eight points, six rebounds and two assists and Molly Heard had seven points, two assists and four steals.

Tyla Tatum scored nine points and Bethany Davis added eight for Sylvania.

Class 2A Area 15 Tournament

Fyffe 49, NSM 34 — At Fyffe, second-seeded North Sand Mountain fell to top-seeded and No. 6-ranked Fyffe in the Class 2A Area 15 Tournament championship game.

NSM (13-13) fell behind 14-6 after one quarter and trailed 27-18 at halftime and 41-31 after three quarters.

Ariana Christopher and Jaden Leake scored nine points each for NSM, which will travel to play top-ranked Sand Rock in a Class 2A Northeast Sub-regional game on Monday.

Maggie Woodall scored 15 points and Gracelyn Hicks added 11 for Fyffe (25-5), which hosts Asbury in sub-regional play.
